Meet our pastor, Ken Tesch:

One of the most exciting things about being in the ministry is seeing

people become excited about the Word of God.  I love watching their

faces light up as they grasp new truths from the Bible!

 

I strive to provide the type of leadership that puts God first, loves people

and glorifies our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My life verse is, "I myself

no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  So I live my life in this earthly body

by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

Galatians 2:20. 

 

I attended seminary at the School of Theology at Virginia Union, and

earned a Master of Divinity degree (M.Div).  In addition to seminary, I have taken Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) through the University of Virginia Health System.      

 

My wife, Michele, and I have been married for 17 years.  She is my gift from God, and I am truly grateful for her.  We live in Lynchburg, and have three children. 

 

I invite you to come experience New Hope Free Methodist Church.  Our people are warm and friendly.  We love the Lord and want to see others grow in their faith.

 

 

Meet our worship leader, Tommy Cox:

My name is Thomas (Tommy) H. Cox, Jr.  I am happily married to my

wife of fifteen years, Amy L Cox and we have one daughter, Catie.

I've been playing guitar for 27 years and teach full time as a guitar

instructor.  I have played in various bands through the years and a

"Beatles" tribute band for about five years.  I write and play a lot of my

own songs.

 

The Lord has been guiding me to do more for Him with my talent.  I am also in the process of putting together a Christian rock band, which I am very excited about.

 

I am looking forward to praising the Lord through music at New Hope and sharing God's gifts with you!
